United Foresight, a non-profit sports group has partnered with a community youth basketball program in Montpellier, France, and the Rainier Beach HS basketball team. The purpose is to connect both teams with similar interests and to teach them the importance of serving people no matter the location. “This is a great opportunity for the Rainier Beach Boys Basketball team to learn about philanthropy and the benefits of applying it in their everyday lives” says, Coach Bethea. The difference with youth in the U.S. are the vast opportunities to be exposed to the game of basketball, whereas youth in France who come from communities that are economically challenged still have to pay $200 to join a youth basketball club just for the experience. Youth sports organizations in France operate on a very tight budget and do not have the means to help those students who are less fortunate. They often lack the financial and staffing resources to provide the best possible service to their communities. We need your help in sponsoring club fees and tennis shoes for 12 youth. One solution is garnering sponsorship but it takes a village and we are asking you to be a part of it. Thank you so much for your heart and help in spreading the love through your generous donations.
